Samsung’s newly released Galaxy Tab S12+ with 512GB of storage is already down to $1,399.99 at Amazon from $1,599.99, its lowest price ever, according to price trackers. This bundle also includes a $200 Amazon gift card through October 21, along with 90 free days of Amazon Music. CNET calls it a significant upgrade over the Tab S10+, with a body that slims down to 5.3mm from 5.6mm and weighs 553 grams while still carrying IP68 protection against dust and water for up to 30 minutes at a depth of one meter. It also manages to fit a slightly larger 12.6-inch screen (up from 12.4 inches) into its frame by trimming the bezels.

That screen is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits—you’re unlikely to hit that number in everyday use, but it’s one of the brightest panels you’ll find on an Android tablet, making it well suited to watching movies, reading, or working across multiple apps. Powering it is an upgraded MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor with enough headroom for demanding games and multitasking, especially if you plan to use Samsung DeX, which gives the tablet a more desktop-like interface.

That said, making the most of DeX usually means adding a keyboard, and Samsung’s options raise the overall cost considerably, from the $199 Book Cover Keyboard Slim to the $299 Pro Keyboard with its built-in trackpad. The S Pen, on the other hand, comes in the box, so you can jot down handwritten notes, sketch, or mark up a PDF, and Galaxy AI’s Note Assist can organize and summarize those notes afterward.

Beyond productivity, Samsung has upgraded the four-speaker system with four-channel spatial audio for a more immersive listening experience, while the 13MP rear camera and 12MP ultrawide front camera cover document scanning and video calls. And with seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates promised, the S12+ should remain supported for years to come.
